What is a Spiritual Marriage?

Simply put, it is one in which you consider your marriage sacred. It embodies the qualities of unconditional love, compassion and gentle kindness. It is about raising the consciousness level of your marriage from being solely pleasure, survival or material centered to being heart centered. It is one in which your marriage vision unites with that of God's. This does not mean that you and your husband must take refuge in a monastery and spend the rest of your lives in prayer. It is about keeping your focus on God and Truth because that is where permanence lies. Material, power or pleasure centered marriages do not last because they are based solely on the ego.
